Good - Fantastic unbeatable 24-2000mm zoom range with good enough image quality throughout the range for amateur photographers. Lightweight and good enough for handheld bird and wildlife photography in good light even at 2000mm. No need to carry around a tripod and heavy lenses. Bad - no RAW. limited burst mode 7 shots only, with pretty slow (about 10 seconds) return to shooting ability after the burst. Photos in burst mode are automatically processed as Normal rather than Fine JPG. Too much noise and overprocessing above ISO800. No HDR. 5 stars despite these shortcomings because the nearest equivalent setup to get better image quality and features will cost 10 times as much.

Overall Features are good, with useful Wifi for connection to Tablets or PC. The controls are easy to use except for one features which bring down the rating of this model is the Auto ISO is not present when switch to Manual mode. On the DSLR model the Auto ISO is operational when in Manual Mode. So those who take Manual Mode look out for this problem. You need to adjust the ISO when lower light condition. Which means you have to adjust, F number, Speed and ISO as well for a good picture. For this absence of this feature it a large draw back, because in event some time i don't have time to sent ISO. In Manual mode it really function like an ancient Film camera, where you need powerful flash. The battery charger is a USB cable that need to plug and charge the battery in the camera, this is really a big problem, so I purchase additional ENEL23 battery I need to buy a third party charger to charge my spare battery, so This is a really bad problem. The Cable and USB charger is really also another big problem, the Original USB charger and Cable must be use, How come it must be special cable? this is a bad feature. Most phone also have use Micro USB cable and USB 5V charger most supplied with 2A charger, so why must this special charger be use, Which means I have to carry the USB cable and the Charger, so when out traveling, I cannot use Power bank to charge, so silly design really. After I see this feature I really feel like returning the camera for refund. So be careful if you are outside your battery runs out thats it, no more picture, or if you lucky to find a 110V/220V socket and if you remember to bring your Original Nikon Charger, other wise you will have to use other camera to continue or use your mobile phone, then why carry the P900?

As the camera sensor is soo small, cant blame the poor image quality. only issue is i change different memory card and the picture looks even more horrible. seen review of how good the camera is but yet to fully understand how they are able to take those pictures. mainly using this camera for astrophotography. the zoom is the main factor
